Austin, Texas (February 27, 2008) —
Convio, Inc. today announced the promotion of David (Dave) Hart to Chief Technology Officer. In this position, Hart will interact with clients, partners and other leaders in the nonprofit community and with teams across the company to provide the vision, direction and guidance for Convio's technology, products and integration strategies. As part of this role, Hart will continue to drive Convio's Open Initiative, a combination of applications, integration tools, APIs (application programming interfaces) and partnerships to meet the nonprofit sector's growing need to tap the power of the new Web. The Open Initiative further opens Convio's technology platform for clients, partners and developers to integrate applications and data around the Software as a Service model to provide choice, interoperability and technological innovation for the nonprofit community.

At Tivoli he held the role of Consulting Engineer, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, where he was responsible for the technical direction and architecture for the company across multiple business units. He previously held the role of Development Director, where he led large engineering teams of up to 80 people across different locations. Prior to Tivoli, Hart spent 15 years at GTE Data Services and Northern Telecom.
