Convio Names Two New Board Members
Austin, Texas (February 5, 2008) —
Convio announced today William (Bill) Bock, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Silicon Labs and Kristen L. Magnuson, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of JDA Software have been appointed to its board of directors.
Mr. Bock joined the Silicon Labs senior management team in his current role in November of 2006, after serving on the company's board since March of 2000. In his board role, Mr. Bock served as chair of the audit committee. Prior to joining Silicon Laboratories, Mr. Bock was a partner at venture capital firms CenterPoint Ventures and Verity Ventures. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Bock served as President and Chief Executive Officer of DAZEL Corporation, a provider of electronic information delivery systems. After DAZEL's acquisition by Hewlett-Packard, Mr. Bock then served as Vice President for HP until 2001. Mr. Bock served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Tivoli Systems, which he helped take public in 1995 and was later acquired by IBM. Prior to joining Tivoli, Mr. Bock successfully completed an IPO at Convex Computer Corporation as CFO in 1986 and then became the Senior Vice President of Sales in 1991. Prior to Convex, Mr. Bock spent nine years in various finance roles at Texas Instruments including Vice President and Controller of the Data Systems Group. Mr. Bock holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University and a master's degree in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
Ms. Magnuson joined JDA Software as Chief Financial Officer in 1997. In March of 2001 she was promoted to Executive Vice President overseeing the company's finance, investor relations, legal, accounting, IT and human resource departments. Prior to joining JDA she spent seven years as Vice President of Finance and Planning for Michaels Stores, Inc. During her career she has completed five public offerings, multiple acquisitions and numerous capital transactions. She has also served as senior vice president and controller for an $8 billion financial institution and was a Principal in the audit department at Ernst & Young. Ms. Magnuson holds a bachelor's degree of business administration from the University of Washington and is a Certified Public Accountant.
As a member of the Convio Board, Mr. Bock will serve as Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee and as a member of the Compensation and Audit Committees. Ms. Magnuson will serve as Chair of the Audit Committee.
