Inc. Magazine Names Convio Among Fastest Growing U.S. Private Companies
Leading On-Demand Software Company for Nonprofits Lands on Prestigious Inc. 500 List by Achieving Three-Year Revenue Growth of 447 Percent
Austin, Texas (August 24, 2006) —
Convio, Inc., the leading provider of on-demand software and services that help nonprofits use the Internet for building strong constituent relationships and driving support, has been named as one of the fastest growing private companies in the country by Inc. magazine.
The 25th annual Inc. 500 list recognizes the nation's best privately-held companies that exemplify cutting-edge business models and rapid growth. With three-year revenue growth of 447 percent, Convio ranks No. 301 on this year's list.
"If you want to find out which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500," said Inc. Editor Jane Berentson. "These are the most innovative, dynamic, fast-growth companies in the nation, the ones coming up with solutions to some of our most intractable ills, creating systems that let us conduct business faster and easier, and manufacturing products we soon discover we can't live without. The Inc. 500 list is Inc. magazine's tribute to American business ingenuity and ambition."
The Inc. 500's alumni roster includes many of the country's industry leaders, among them, CompUSA, Domino's Pizza, E*TRADE, Gateway, Jenny Craig, Jiffy Lube, Microsoft, Oracle, Super 8 Motels and Timberland. More information on the 2006 Inc. 500 rankings is available at http://www.inc.com/.

"It is an honor to be recognized by Inc. magazine and to be listed among the strongest and most innovative companies in the nation — many of which often go on to become household names," said Gene Austin, CEO, Convio. "Our Inc. 500 ranking further validates Convio's position as a strong market leader, and we are well poised to continue growing steadily while meeting the important technology needs of nonprofit organizations throughout the country."
Convio's ranking on the Inc. 500 list coincides with the company also being named this week to the Deloitte "Texas Technology Fast 50" list which recognizes the fastest growing technology companies in the Lone Star state. These awards are the latest in a long string of honors acknowledging Convio's growth, strong performance and leadership within the nonprofit sector.
