Loyola University Chicago Chooses Convio to Enable More Personalized Communications With Alumni and Enhance Online Donations Capabilities
Austin, Texas (October 18, 2005) —
Loyola University Chicago, one of the largest Jesuit universities and colleges in the country, has chosen Convio Internet tools to build stronger relationships with its alumni and increase online giving.
Convio is the leading provider of online constituent relationship management solutions (eCRM) for nonprofit organizations, including colleges, universities, alumni associations and additional types of higher education groups. The company's software and services enable organizations to use the Internet for building strong constituent relationships to drive fundraising, marketing, advocacy and other forms of mission-critical support.
Loyola is the latest addition to Convio's growing roster of the nation's top higher education institutions including The University of Texas at Austin, Georgetown University, Southern Methodist University, University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, Texas State University, The Ohio State University, University of San Francisco, Amherst College, Barnard College and Hunter College of the City University of New York.
Through Loyola's Convio-powered Alumni Relations Web site, visitors will have access to enhanced and convenient online functions such as updating personal information, registering for university-related events and donating to the school.
"We understand the value of the Internet, especially as a tool to help our university reach out to more alumni and engage them on a deeper level," said Nicole LeDuc, Associate Director of Alumni and Special Events, Loyola University Chicago. "With Convio, we will be able to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to alumni relations and make it easier for all of our former students to stay involved with the university, which helps encourage giving and other types of support."
Convio's tools will help Loyola enhance its alumni database by making is easier for the university to acquire and update information from former students such as the schools and/or departments from which they graduated, major, current employment status and addresses. Loyola also will be able to more carefully target email communications to alumni, including personalized electronic newsletters with content that is relevant to each recipient.
Convio's solution is an integrated software suite for marketing communications, online community and fundraising services. This integrated approach will allow Loyola's alumni relations and annual fund staff to develop closer relationships with more constituents online. By adopting Convio's online relationship management solutions, Loyola can better serve the needs of alumni and donors and secure the long-term interests of the institution in these relationships.
"Loyola University Chicago's decision to begin using Convio online tools reflects a growing trend in higher education toward greater coordination between alumni relations, annual giving and donor stewardship efforts," said Gene Austin, CEO, Convio. "With an online constituent relationship management strategy in place, the university has taken an important step in adding more value to its relationships with alumni and donors."
