The Vision 5K is a unique run and walk event where blind and sighted participants run or walk side by side.

The Problem
Vision 5K needed to empower event participants with an efficient and cost-effective way to reach out to their network of friends and family, and raise money online. It was also critical to have robust reporting features because the annual event is coordinated and managed by four independent organizations that serve the blind and visually impaired. The revenue from annual the event is divided equally between these organizations.

How We Solved It
Convio Interactive Services helped Vision 5K launch TeamRaiser so that participants could raise money online, on behalf of the organization. Convio also migrated the organization's website onto Convio Web Content Management (PageBuilder) and implemented Convio's online fundraising and marketing solutions to improve Vision 5K's web presence. All of this work was completed within 45 days so that Vision 5K was ready to promote and support their annual event online. 

The Outcome
By enabling supporters to fundraise online, Vision 5K was very successful the first year that it used TeamRaiser. The organization raised more than $200,000 for the annual event, and broadened its reach by connecting with participants' friends and family.
